Every person has emotions. What we do with and how we navigate our emotions has a dramatic impact on how we experience them. Too often, difficult emotions are avoided, disowned, mismanaged or repressed- only to find their way through in our lives in unexpected, unavoidable, unhealthy, and unmanageable ways.
These sessions are designed to hone your skills in being able to identify, recognize, and pay attention to the valuable messages your emotions have to offer.
You’ll learn to:
Recognize when you’re in a triggered (fight, flight, freeze, or fawn) state
Identify, name, and give space for your emotions
Learn to value the data, messages, and narratives your emotions provide
Give yourself comfort, support, and compassion
Better own and communicate your feelings, desires, and needs
Improve your relationship with yourself and others
Emotions are often, by definition, irrational- though not irrelevant. They point to our deepest needs for love, belonging, safety, and autonomy. Learning to work with rather than against our emotions has the power to create a more vibrant, intentional, authentic, and empowered way of living.
